Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 12, 2026
1. Service Description
DriveOrDitch ("the Service") provides AI-powered automotive diagnostic analysis. Users submit vehicle information and symptom descriptions, and the Service returns a diagnosis, estimated repair cost, estimated vehicle value, and a fix-or-sell recommendation ("Verdict").
2. No Professional Substitute
DriveOrDitch is not a substitute for a professional mechanic inspection. The diagnoses, cost estimates, and verdicts provided by the Service are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional automotive advice.
You should always:
- Have a qualified, licensed mechanic inspect your vehicle before making repair or sell decisions
- Get multiple repair quotes from certified shops
- Consider a pre-purchase inspection if buying a used vehicle
- Consult with a professional for safety-related issues
3. Accuracy Disclaimer
While our diagnostic engine is built on extensive automotive knowledge, the Service cannot guarantee the accuracy of any diagnosis, cost estimate, or vehicle valuation. Actual repair costs, vehicle values, and diagnoses can vary significantly based on:
- Local labor rates and parts availability
- Vehicle condition beyond what was described
- Regional market conditions for vehicle values
- Additional issues discovered during physical inspection
- Specific trim levels, options, and vehicle history
4. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DriveOrDitch and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
- Decisions made based on the Service's diagnoses or verdicts
- Inaccurate cost estimates or vehicle valuations
- Misdiagnosis of vehicle issues
- Any financial loss resulting from following the Service's recommendations
5. User Responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate vehicle information and symptom descriptions to the best of your knowledge
- Not rely solely on the Service for safety-critical decisions
- Not submit any personally identifiable information beyond what is requested (vehicle details and symptoms)
- Not attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service
6. Data Usage
We collect and store the vehicle information and symptoms you submit to provide the diagnostic service. This data may be used in aggregate (without identifying you) to improve our diagnostic accuracy. We do not collect personal information such as your name or email address for the basic diagnostic service.
Diagnostic session data is retained for a reasonable period to allow you to share and revisit your results.
7. AI-Generated Content
All diagnoses and recommendations are generated by AI technology. The AI system is trained on general automotive repair knowledge and does not have access to your vehicle's specific history, recall information, or manufacturer bulletins in real-time. Results should be verified against current manufacturer recommendations.
8. Intellectual Property
The DriveOrDitch name, branding, diagnostic engine, and all associated content are the property of their respective owners. You may share your individual diagnostic results but may not scrape, reproduce, or commercially use the Service's output at scale.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
